Royal Canin Dental Special Small is a dietary food for small adult dogs under 10 kg that fights and further prevents dental problems.
Smaller dogs tend to develop dental problems earlier in life than most canines do. To address this issue, Royal Canin developed the Royal Canin Dental Special Small feed for small breed dogs. The kibble's shape creates a scraping effect which will cleanse the teeth from tartar and plaque. On top of that, the added ingredient of pentasodium triphosphate ensures that calcium will be trapped by saliva and will not be able to transform into tartar. Furthermore, the mixture adds a complex of ingredients which results in a healthy water retention, strengthening the skin barrier. Lastly, it dilutes their urine which could be very beneficial to their renal system and prevent kidney stones - calcium-oxalate or struvite crystals.
