Trovet's Hot Treat Ostrich is based solely upon the source of one protein, namely the stomach of an ostrich. Therefor it is perfectly useable for dogs on a hypoallergenic diet. It is however discouraged to use it when your dog suffers from renal problems or hepatitis. Trovet's Hot Treat Ostrich will also reduce dental plaque. Because of its unique structure, it scrubs away the plaque between the dog's teeth. Not recommended for puppies.
